John Legend returned to his roots and made a surprise appearance at Calvary Baptist Church in Philadelphia Sunday morning. The congregation rose to their feet and joined him in singing "How I Got Over." Legend started playing the piano at an early age and believes that the church offered a foundation for him and many other artists. John Legend is a Grammy award winner, and a R & B, hip-hop and soul singer and songwriter.
